Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with an ahosting service. It applies to every client and forms part of our Terms of Service. Our aim is a network that stays clean, stays routable, and stays out of trouble — which serves everyone on it.
1. Prohibited outright
The following result in immediate termination without notice or refund, and where the law requires it, a report to the competent authority:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form, including hosting, storage, distribution, or linking.
- Content or activity promoting terrorism, or incitement to violence against a person or group.
- Malware distribution, ransomware operation, botnet control, or exploit-kit hosting.
- Phishing sites, credential-harvesting pages, or infrastructure supporting them.
- Carding, sale of stolen financial or personal data, or fraudulent payment processing.
- Network attacks originating from your service, including denial-of-service, brute-force, and unauthorised port scanning of third-party networks.
2. Prohibited without prior agreement
The following are not allowed by default, but may be permitted if you contact us before ordering and we agree in writing:
- Cryptocurrency mining. Prohibited on all standard plans because of its effect on shared CPU and power.
- Bulk outbound email. Sending large volumes of mail, even opt-in, requires prior discussion so we can assess IP reputation risk.
- Open proxies and open relays. Anonymising infrastructure must be operated with authentication and abuse controls, not left open.
- Public tracker or file-sharing indexes. Assessed case by case.
- Stress-testing services. Only permitted where you can demonstrate authorisation controls preventing use against third parties.
3. Email and IP reputation
You are responsible for the reputation of the IP addresses assigned to you. If mail sent from your service causes an address to be listed on a major blocklist, we may suspend outbound port 25 on that service until the cause is resolved.
Unsolicited bulk email is prohibited without exception. This includes purchased lists, scraped addresses, and mail sent through your service on behalf of a third party.
4. Resource use
Plans are sold with defined vCPU, memory, storage and port speed. Sustained use that degrades service for other clients on the same node — typically continuous full-core CPU load or storage I/O saturation over extended periods — may lead us to contact you and, if unresolved, to rate-limit or suspend the service.
Network transfer is unmetered. Port speed is the limit, not a monthly allowance, and we do not throttle for volume alone.
5. Lawful privacy tooling
We host VPN servers, proxies, Tor relays and similar privacy infrastructure, and we regard operating them as legitimate. What matters is that the service is not used to attack third parties, distribute malware, or host content prohibited under section 1. Operators of such services should expect abuse reports and are expected to respond to them.
If you run a Tor exit node, tell us before you start so we can prepare for the report volume.
6. Abuse reports
Send reports to abuse@ahosting.site. Include the IP address, timestamps with timezone, and evidence such as log excerpts or headers. We acknowledge within one business day.
Our usual process:
- We forward the report to the client and ask for a response within 24 hours.
- For serious or ongoing abuse we suspend first and notify afterwards.
- Repeated substantiated reports against the same client lead to termination.
We do not act on unsubstantiated reports, and we do not disclose client identity to a reporter without a valid legal order.
7. Copyright
Send copyright notices to abuse@ahosting.site with identification of the work, the URL or IP hosting it, your contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised. We forward valid notices to the client for action and escalate where they are ignored.
8. Enforcement
Depending on severity we may issue a warning, rate-limit or null-route an address, suspend the service, or terminate it. We aim to give notice and a chance to fix the problem, but we act immediately without notice where there is an active attack, prohibited content under section 1, or a threat to network stability.
9. Questions
If you are unsure whether your intended use is permitted, ask before you order — support@ahosting.site. A straight answer beforehand is better for both of us than a suspension afterwards.
